What You'll Learn in This Course (Complete Curriculum)

Module 1: Arabic Alphabets

You will be introduced to all 29 Arabic letters in their basic (isolated) forms. You will learn to recognize each letter and distinguish between similar shapes. We will also explore how each letter appears in different positions, beginning, middle, and end, within a word.

What you will achieve:

You will be able to recognize all Arabic letters confidently and identify them in any position within a word.

Module 2: Letter Pronunciation (Makharij)

You will learn the correct articulation points (Makharij) for every Arabic letter. You will discover where each letter originates, whether from the throat, tongue, lips, or nasal cavity, and practice producing each sound accurately. Proper Makharij is essential for beautiful and correct recitation.

What you will achieve:

You will pronounce each Arabic letter correctly from its proper origin, avoiding common pronunciation mistakes.

Module 3: Joined Letters

You will learn how Arabic letters connect to form words, as the script changes when letters are joined. You will practice reading simple words by combining letters correctly and understanding the different forms of each letter based on its position.

What you will achieve:

You will be able to read simple Arabic words fluently by joining letters correctly.

Module 4: Harakat – Short Vowels

You will be introduced to the three short vowels in Arabic: Fatha (زبر), Kasra (زیر), and Damma (پیش). You will learn how these diacritical marks change the sound of letters and how they shape pronunciation. Mastering Harakat is essential for reading any Arabic word accurately.

What you will achieve:

You will read words with short vowels correctly and understand how vowel marks affect pronunciation.

Module 5: Tanween – Double Vowels

You will learn about Tanween, which is the doubling of short vowel sounds at the end of words. You will study double fatha (تنوین نصب), double kasra (تنوین جر), and double damma (تنوین رفع). This feature appears frequently in the Quran and adds a “nun” sound to the end of words.

What you will achieve:

You will recognize and read Tanween correctly in Quranic words and verses.

Module 6: Madd – Elongation

You will learn the rules of Madd (elongation), which determine how long certain vowel sounds should be stretched. You will study short vowels, long vowels, and the different types of Madd, including when and how to apply them during recitation.

What you will achieve:

You will identify and apply Madd rules correctly, giving each letter its proper duration.

Module 7: Sukoon & Qalqalah

You will learn about Sukoon, which indicates the absence of a vowel on a letter, and practice reading words where letters carry sukoon. You will also master Qalqalah—the echoing sound that occurs with five specific letters when they have sukoon.

What you will achieve:

You will read words with sukoon correctly and apply Qalqalah accurately to the five qalqalah letters.

Module 8: Tashdeed – Stress

You will learn about Tashdeed (Shaddah), which indicates a doubled letter that should be stressed. You will practice identifying Shaddah in words and pronouncing it with proper emphasis. This rule is crucial for accurate Quranic recitation.

What you will achieve:

You will apply Shaddah correctly in words and verses, giving each stressed letter its due emphasis.

Module 9: Practice Reading

In this final module, you will apply everything you have learned throughout the course. You will practice reading complete words, short Quranic verses, and selected passages. Your teacher will guide you, correct any mistakes, and ensure you are ready to transition to reading the Quran with confidence.

What you will achieve:

You will read Quranic words and short verses fluently and confidently, with correct pronunciation and basic Tajweed.
